Prospecting & Innovation Programs

The Prospecting & Innovation Programs Division is responsible for attracting out of province business investment to Prince Edward Island and managing innovation programs focused on strengthening the strategic sectors of bioscience, information technology communications, aerospace, and renewable energy.

Business Development

The Business Development division is responsible for the coordination and delivery of information, assistance, and support programs to businesses in Prince Edward Island. Specifically, the group works to assist in business start up, support expansion, trade development, and diversification of existing businesses, and provide a full range of business counseling and programs to support the long term viability of Prince Edward Island companies.

Lending Services

The Lending Services group sources, manages and supplies financial capital in support of sound, strategic business opportunities while balancing financial risk with the economic return to the Province. As a developmental lender, the group works collaboratively with traditional financial institutions and other government agencies in a non-formula approach using a wide array of financial instruments.
